Book Recommendation
I just finished Lay That Triumpet In Our Hands. It's a book set in central Florida in the early 1950s. It reminds one of To Kill a Mockingbird because it deals with the racism inherent in that time and place. But, for a historian it's especially interesting because it profiles the activities of ordinary people in the struggle against racism. It is fiction, but it's based in true events. Great read!
